Places 36 - The Necropolis at Olympos.

This second century AD tomb of Aurelius Artemias' family is dedicated to the goddess, Alcestis (or Alkestis). The worn reliefs of the figure of Nike sit on each of the four corners, the figure of Eros and garlands of flowers are seen representing the four seasons. Artemias and her husband can be seen saying their farewells before entering the afterlife, and a club bearing Hercules is also represented standing beside a veiled Alcestis.
